Everything you can imagine is real.
- Pablo Picasso
Not a seeker. Not a finder. Just a dancer in the field of dreams. Here and now is a happiness.

The Art of Disappearing
When they say Don't I know you?
say no.
When they invite you to the party
remember what parties are like
before answering.
Someone telling you in a loud voice
they once wrote a poem.
Greasy sausage balls on a paper plate.
Then reply.
If they say We should get together
say why?
It's not that you don't love them anymore.
You're trying to remember something
too important to forget.
Trees. The monastery bell at twilight.
Tell them you have a new project.
It will never be finished.
When someone recognizes you in a grocery store
nod briefly and become a cabbage.
When someone you haven't seen in ten years
appears at the door,
don't start singing him all your new songs.
You will never catch up.
Walk around feeling like a leaf.
Know you could tumble any second.
*Then* decide what to do with your time.

A Zen master lay dying. His monks are all gathered around his deathbed, and the senior monk leans over and asks the master for any final words of wisdom for his monks. The old master weakly says, "Tell them Truth is like a river." The senior monk relays this message on to the other monks. The youngest monk in the group is confused, and asks, "What does he mean that Truth is like a river?" The senior monk relays this question to the master, and the master replies, "O.K., Truth is not like a river."

This quote is a translation of a quote attributed to Terence and she used it as a launching point to encourage her audience to realize that they are capable of anything that is experienced by a human. This ranges from creating a symphony like Beethoven to committing horrible acts on others. In each case, these things were accomplished by another human so each of us is capable of greatness and must also deliberately choose to control our baser urges.
Basically, nothing in life is "inhuman" and we have the choice to do whatever we want and each of us is capable of the full range of the human condition.
