I'm looking forward to this, I think.
Not a seeker. Not a finder. Just a dancer in the field of dreams. Here and now is a happiness.

Absurdity
Conversation about language in the ND perspective has been wandering around in my brain. And the book I've been listening to while I work reminded me of the phrase I find the most ludicrous.
Like Yoda saying "Do or do not. There is no 'try'.", I say "Is or is not. There is no 'supposed to'."
Recognizing, of course, that all IS, which is why that phrase makes my brain flinch.
---------------------------------------
I once said to a friend that I don't live on the fringe, more like wandering around in the knots ar the edge of the carpet.
That metaphor makes me laugh.

The Talisman
"When I'm having a dream, the only time I really know it's a dream is when I'm starting to wake up. If I'm dreaming and just wake up all at once, if the alarm clock goes off or something, then I'm the most surprised guy alive. At first. it's the waking that seems like a dream..."

There are serious echoes from the Dark Tower series in this book. The protagonist, Jack, is an alternate reality to Jake, Roland's adopted son. This story has him following the (Yellow Brick Road) Western Road, rather than the Beam. And there's a tower somewhere in there, too.
I read it 20 years or so ago, but the familiarity of the story is because of the Gunslinger, not because I remember anything except that it was dark and I liked it.

Same as it ever was
Once In A Lifetime
And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack And you may find yourself in another part of the world And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife And you may ask yourself-Well...How did I get here? Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/after the money's gone Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground. And you may ask yourself How do I work this? And you may ask yourself Where is that large automobile? And you may tell yourself This is not my beautiful house! And you may tell yourself This is not my beautiful wife! Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/after the money's gone Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground. Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was... Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was... Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was... Water dissolving...and water removing There is water at the bottom of the ocean Carry the water at the bottom of the ocean Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean! Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/in the silent water Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground. Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/after the money's gone Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground. And you may ask yourself What is that beautiful house? And you may ask yourself Where does that highway go? And you may ask yourself Am I right?...Am I wrong? And you may tell yourself MY GOD!...WHAT HAVE I DONE? Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/in the silent water Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground. Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/after the money's gone Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground. Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was... Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was... Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...
