You know how you stretch out on the sofa and drift between sleeping and waking? Knowing what is going on around you but still floating in the dream?
Yeah.
Like that.
Not a seeker. Not a finder. Just a dancer in the field of dreams. Here and now is a happiness.

Machado
The deepest words
of the wise man teach us
the same as the whistle of the wind when it blows
or the sound of the water when it is flowing.

This is here. This is now.
My husband and I drove for 4 hours to come to his niece's wedding. Tomorrow, she adds a whole crowd of people to her family. And they are nice. They are fun. I'm sure that they have all the crazy that families have, but right now they are celebrating this young couple who are planning to look after each other. As are her family of origin.
Tonight and tomorrow, there is joy.
Tonight and tomorrow, there is joy.

Don't Take Anything Personally.
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

Men in Black, III
Go see this movie, even if you haven't seen the other 2 and don't care for science fiction. I"m not kidding.
Mostly, it's just fun.
But then, there's Griffin.
He's not in the other ones.
He makes the whole series worthwhile.
Really.

Still don't like his books
“A propos of dreams, is it not a strange thing if writers of fiction never dream of their own creations; recollecting, I suppose, even in their dreams, that they have no real existence? I never dream of any of my own characters, and I feel it is so impossible that I would wager Scott never did of his, real as they are.”
– Charles Dickens, letter to C.C. Felton, Sept. 1, 1843

Singular Fire
Fire drawing from Glithero on Vimeo.
It seems that the embedding of this video is a little strange. I see a nice preview. chuck sees Vimeo gobbledy gook.
It really is a nice metaphor.
